Najran (GPA) – Yemeni forces shot a Saudi F-15 fighter jet over the weekend. It is unclear whether the plane hit the ground or was just damaged and able to continue its flight.
Either way, it means that Yemeni forces can successfully strike Saudi aircraft entering the country.
Like many others, this jet was likely on its way to drop bombs over civilian areas. Saudi Arabia pounded Yemen with airstrikes all weekend while Saudi leaders met with Donald Trump to finalize a $110 billion dollar arms sale.
Yemeni forces also successfully launched two ballistic missiles towards a military base in Riyadh on Friday. The event was intended to coincide with Trump’s visit.
