wikileaks

Washington (GPA) – This morning at 8 a.m., the government transparency advocacy organization Wikileaks released the password to an encrypted zip file and an online archive of the CIA’s hacking arsenal.

The leak was released several weeks ago in the form of a zip file that was available to torrent. Downloaders were told to await the release of the password for the encryption on the file which was released at 8 o’clock this morning eastern standard time.

Wikileaks founder was expected to hold a press conference following the release of the files. The press conference was to stream live via Periscope and Facebook video but shortly after the scheduled start time Wikileaks revealed they had come under attack.

The press conference has apparently been rescheduled yet the new time is not yet known.

Besides the zip file, Wikileaks also released the archive on their website for everyone to be able to see.

We will continue to post updates as material within the leak is discovered and explained. Until then the full document dump and a press release is available here.
